NP Paklenica
Údolí Malé a Velké Paklenice mají velký význam pro region. Na jaře a na podzim se korytem valí voda, která prohlubuje už tak dost hluboké vápencové údolí. Obě údolí, Velká Paklenica se svými 14km i Malá Paklenica s 12km, jsou hluboko zaříznuty v jižní části Velebitského masivu.

The creeks Mala and Velika Paklenica give great value to the entire region, enriching it, and in the spring and autumn, the sheer power of the creeks erodes the limestone walls of the canyons, thus deepening them further every year. Both the Velika Paklenica Canyon, 14 km long, and Mala Paklenica Canyon, 12 km long, are deeply cut into the massive south face of the Velebit mountains.

NP Plitvička jezera
...to je specifický geologický a hydrogeologický krasový fenomén. Série 16 větších a mnoha malých jezer, pozvolna stupňovitě stoupajících údolím, oddělených travertinovými přehrádkami, které se postupně usazovaly posledních 10 000 let-je hlavním lákadlem národního parku.

The series of 16 bigger and a few smaller lakes, gradually lined up, separated by travertine barriers for which the period of the last 10 000 years was crucial, and which were ruled by ecological relations similar to those of today-suitable for travertine depositing and for the origin of the lakes-are the basic phenomenon of this NP.

NP Krka
Národní park Krka je rozlehlá oblast s neobyčejnou přírodou mnoha tváří. Nachází se zde jen nepatrně změněné přírodní ekosystémy.
